Skeeter and the kids don't get along at first but with Skeeter's (Adam Sandler) happy personality the kids loosen up. This is when Skeeter realizes something magical, everytime he tells a story to the kids, it happens in real life! So Skeeter uses this "power" to tell stories that will lead to his promotion as manager a position that is rightfully his in the first place.
